Connect Health & Community runs a number of programs and groups. The priorities are to promote mental health and wellbeing, to promote physical activity, and to promote accessible and nutritious diet.

Parkinsons Support Group

For people with Parkinsons, their families and carers.

When: 1.30 pm on the fourth Monday of the month
Where: Connect Health & Community, Bentleigh East


Physical Activity groups (various)

We offer a range of physical activity groups including moderate-intensity strength training and low-intensity tai chi and gentle exercise groups. All participants are screened by our physiotherapy department.

Clients over 65years require a My Aged Care referral for physiotherapy or exercise physiology for strength training and gentle exercise. Tai Chi exercise requires a group social support referral.

Where: Most groups are held at Connect Health & Community's centre at 2A Gardeners Rd, Bentleigh East. Tai Chi exercise is held at Hampton

Little Foodies Group

Do you wish to have happier mealtimes with your child? If you have a fussy preschooler in your family, then this group may help during those mealtime battles.
                   
The group is jointly run by an experienced Paediatric Speech Pathologist and Dietitian who use evidence based approaches to help young children be more confident with food.
                   
The Little Foodies Group will provide your child with an opportunity to:
• Learn about food in a no-pressure, fun, and interactive way
• Learn about the different sensory properties of food
                      
This group is suitable for children aged 3-5 years of age.
                        
Where: Unit 1, 347 Bay Road Cheltenham (Connect Health and Community)
When: Wednesday mornings, 10-11 am 
Cost: $10
