Community Transport

Getting out and about

We have been offering safe and quality door to- door transport options to our community since 1975.

Community transport aims to assist people who are unable to use private or public transport and have no relative or friend who can take them out and about.

We have a great team of caring and dedicated volunteers and staff who are trained in providing safe door-to-door transport.

Group transport

Group transport is offered to our service users who are required to attend one of Connect Health & Community’s programs such as the Social Support program, Gentle Exercise, etc.

Our buses are used for group transport, one of which is wheelchair accessible.

Individual transport

The TransAccess program will get you to and from medical appointments, rehabilitation, social and recreational activities, shopping centres and other transport requests as required.

Connect Health & Community and volunteers’ cars are used for those who are able to comfortably get in and out of them. These cars are not wheelchair accessible.

All our transport services run between: Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5pm.

Unfortunately, we cannot transport people who require ongoing monitoring and/or active treatment during transit.

What about My Aged Care?

You may be referred to our community transport service as part of a My Aged Care assessment.
