Counselling

Working together to improve emotional health and wellbeing

Our experienced counsellors are professionals with social work, counselling and psychology backgrounds. They provide counselling services to people of all ages, from pre-school through to older adults.

We all experience challenges in our lives at some point. These could include concerns relating to relationships, families, education, workplace, loss and/or health. There may be times when seeking support from a counsellor could be beneficial.

How can counsellors help?

Counselling is for everyone. At Connect Health & Community we provide paediatric psychology, youth social work and adult counselling. Couples, families and carers are welcome to use this service also.

Counselling can help you manage:

  • Depression
  • Postnatal depression
  • Anxiety, phobias, panic attacks and stress
  • Self esteem
  • Relationship issues
  • Separation and divorce
  • Anger management
  • Family conflict and violence
  • Parenting issues
  • Child-specific issues including bullying, anxiety and social skills
  • Chronic illness
  • Social isolation
  • Grief and loss
  • Carer issues
  • One to one counselling

Sometimes you need someone you can talk openly to about your problems and how they are affecting you. Counselling provides a confidential, private space where you can discuss life issues.
