Virtual Holiday: Week 3

Heading back to Eastern Australia

- with communications volunteer, Leesa

Last week I was very pleased to travel to Uluru in Central Australia – I have always wanted to go there and thought it was an amazing place.  Please feel free to let me know what you think of the virtual tours by dropping me an email through the link at the bottom of this week’s trip.

So as lockdown continues, we are going to leave Western Australia and head back east via South Australia and Tasmania.

The first place we are going to visit is South Australia, which has so  many wonderful places to explore including The Flinders Ranges, Adelaide, Kangaroo Island, the Barossa Valley, Coober Pedy and Port Lincoln.

Wow, S.A. you really do have so much to see!

Our second stop is Tasmania.

Our southern-most state is also cram-packed full of interesting, historical places of interest.  We’re going to start in Hobart Tasmania then visit the Port Arthur Memorial Garden, before heading to Launceston, Burney Island, Davenport and Wine Glass Bay.

Before I go I just want to thank you for joining me for Week 3 of our virtual holiday.

Next week we use the magic of technology to bypass the border blocks and visit Sydney and Queensland.

This will wrap up our travels around Australia, so I would love to know where you would like to go next.

I was thinking I would like to board the virtual aeroplane and head to Germany, home to my ancestors, but if your ideas are very welcome too.

Feel free to email me your ideas or feedback on l.sillery@connecthealth.org.au

Until then, stay safe.
