After some tough COVID-years, our Communications Volunteer, Leesa, thinks we should be looking more inwards when it comes to showing love this Valentine's Day, and shares her ideas for a great, love-filled day.
Valentine’s Day is that one day of the year we are expected to focus on the love all around us.
But, I think it is time to treat ourselves to a bit of love, and exercise self-care.
So this Valentine’s Day, I think we should take some time to step away from the daily routines like cleaning, cooking, working and the other things we do in our daily lives and do something special for yourself.
Do something you really love to do, because you really deserve it.
And this self-care shouldn’t be just reserved for Valentine’s Day - it could be once a week. You could set a time for you to do something you really love to do.
Here are some ideas that I have come up with (they are things that I love doing when I have time).
However you spend Valentine’s Day, may it be filled with lots of love for you. Enjoy.
