Looking forward to a COVID Safe summer

There’s so much to feel good about this summer because, thanks to the efforts of every Victorian, COVID Safe is our new normal.

As we reconnect with our favourite people and places it’s important we remain vigilant.

Maintaining our COVID Safe routines will give us every chance of keeping ourselves, and our communities safe.  These include good hand hygiene, social distancing, face masks indoors and getting tested at the first signs of any ‘flu like illness.*

Connect Health & Community is aware the challenges are greater for people living in high-density environments and for those sharing communal facilities.

One of the tools we will be sharing with people living in high density housing in our community.

To support people living in this type of housing, we have created the High Risk Accommodation Response (HRAR) Service, and our teams will be visiting these residents across south-eastern Melbourne to offer our support over summer.

Connect Health & Community CEO, Amanda Murphy, said “By working with those in more vulnerable accommodation, we can prepare people as individuals and communities, on how to minimise their risk so they can reconnect safely.”

By taking a few extra precautions, we hope everyone enjoys  a wonderful Christmas and a COVID Safe summer with family and friends.
