With the gradual resumption of a more normal life across the state, Connect Health & Community is pleased to advise that our Group Services will start to return from 28 February.
Put on hold in response to COVID-19 restrictions, CEO Amanda Murphy, said the resumption of group services is a great step forward for both our community and staff.
“For two years we have worked together as a community, at a distance, to keep ourselves connected to our health. Now, with solid adult vaccination rates enabling further easing of restrictions, we are delighted that our practitioners can get back to what they love to do – working to support our clients in person,” she said.
“Given we provide more than 40 classes social and exercise groups across the community, the restart will take place progressively. Our first group service to reopen will be our ‘Monday Mob’ social support group on 28 February, with other classes resuming progressively from there,” she said.
“We thank our clients for their patience and resilience during this time and look forward to getting back to doing what we love – reconnecting our community with their health and social networks,” she said.
The dates for services reopening include:
Social Support, including Tai Chi: 28 February, 2022
Falls and Balance, 2 March, 2022
