Connect Health & Community is committed to promoting good dental health in our community and is proud to offer free or discounted children’s dental through the Government-funded Child Dental Benefits Scheme.
The scheme covers part or the full cost of most full dental treatments for children. It is designed to ensure accessible dental services and create good oral health habits that will last a lifetime.
Connect Health & Community CEO, Amanda Murphy, said the program reinforces the importance of establishing healthy habits early in life.
“It’s never too early to establish good oral hygiene habits for our children, and behaviours learnt young tend to stick with them through life,” she said.
“This program makes quality dental health care accessible to everyone in our community, regardless of circumstance – giving our children a good foundation for not only healthy teeth, but overall good health,” she said.
Ms Murphy said the Child Dental Benefits Scheme is available to all children under 13 years and youth aged 13-17 who are eligible for the Medicare Child Dental Benefits Schedule or have a health care or pension card.
There is no waiting list to receive dental care for children under 18 years.
