Emotional wellbeing group program anxiety depression

This 12-week program is designed to help those who feel overwhelmed by their emotions and/or those who are experiencing emotional distress identify, understand and manage their emotions in more healthy ways.

The Emotional Wellbeing Group is ideal for anyone who needs help managing anxiety, depression and related ‘emotional disorders’, including obsessive thought/compulsions and impulsive behaviours.

Starting on Thursday 24 May 2018, the two-hour weekly group session will take place on Thursday mornings from 10.30am to 12.30pm (with a two-week break over the July school holidays) at Connect Health & Community in Bentleigh East.

The program is run by trained mental health professionals and employs a proven emotion-focused cognitive-behavioural therapy approach. Learn more about the approach here.

This 12-week program offers participants:

  • help with recognising, responding to and managing emotions in more healthy ways
  • specific strategies to use when confronting and experiencing uncomfortable emotions.
  • greater understanding of how emotional awareness can help improve relationships.

Fees are based on income and may be adjusted/waived based on your specific circumstances. There is a one-off charge of $30 for the program workbook.
