A free education and training program offering support and strategies to those caring for people living with dementia.
As a carer of a family member or friend living with dementia, there’s a lot to understand, and sometimes responding and relating to the person you are caring for can be confusing and/or overwhelming.
To help support you in your role as a carer, Connect Health & Community has partnered with Alfred Health Carer Services to deliver a program of free, informative and supportive workshops.
Run over 7 evenings (6pm-9pm) by qualified health professionals, these workshops will help carers:

Am I eligible to attend the Creative Ways to Care program?
If you are providing unpaid care and support to a relative or friend, you are welcome to attend this program. Carers may or may not live with the person they care for.
What will it cost?
There is no charge for attending this program. If you need to arrange respite for the person you care for, we may be able to assist you.
Venue: Connect Health and Community, 2A Gardeners Road, 2/3 Community Room, Bentleigh East.
Dates and times: Tuesday 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 May and 5, 19 June 2018 (Please note, there is no workshop on 12 June.)
6pm to 9pm.
Includes a light meal. Please advise any dietary considerations when you RSVP.
