Vale, Jasper

It is with much sadness that we announce the passing our four-legged volunteer and friend, Jasper, a 12 year-old border collie.

Jasper and Brett. Jasper loved his work as much as everyone loved him.  He will be greatly missed at Connect Health & Community.

Jasper, a certified therapy pet, became an instant hit when he joined the Connect Health & Community family, with his human Brett, four years ago.

Jasper and Brett worked as a driver/jockey (or assistant) team, collecting Connect Health & Community clients and bringing them to us for a range of services.

With Brett behind the wheel, Jasper assumed the role of host, sitting up front until the first passenger embarked, then welcoming each newcomer with a big smile and soft cuddles, before ‘working the bus’ as it made its merry way to our Gardeners Rd centre.

Our deepest sympathies to Brett and his family.  Jasper will be greatly missed by Connect Health & Community staff and clients alike.
