Staying connected is an important as ever

Getting crafty
During the pandemic, we've had to get a little crafty so we've modified the way we deliver some services including social support.

We encourage current and new clients to remain connected in new ways including:
  • weekly well-being phone calls, emotional support, and social connection with staff
  • opportunity to participate in weekly teleconference calls with varied activities – these groups usually have about 4-8 clients involved, facilitated by staff, and run for an hour. We offer these groups 4 times a week.
  •  participate in our Life Story project where staff phone clients and together they develop the client's Life Story. This project is a wonderful way to provide individual contact, encourage reminiscence, and enable validation of the client's life and experiences.
  • themed activity packs that are developed and delivered each fortnight. These packs are full of meaningful activities including a little craft,  to provide some diversion, stimulation and enjoyment.
  • on-line resources, supports, and activities for those clients who feel comfortable with technology.
For more information about social support, please call us on 03) 9575 5333.
