A free information session for young people and parents.

You probably already know that drugs and alcohol can change the way your brain and body work.

But did you know that using alcohol and drugs can actually create mental health problems such as anxiety or depression, or make existing conditions even worse?

And are you aware of the dangers of mixing drugs and alcohol with prescribed medications?

Aimed at young people (aged 14+), parents and carers, Connect Health & Community’s free info session on Tues 24 July will help you make smart choices about your health and wellbeing.

(Youth Support and Advocacy Service) 

Working across diverse settings including residential withdrawal, youth outreach and clinical work, Rhiannon has a passion for improving the outcomes of young people with substance use issues.

Join Rhiannon as she explores:

  • Common myths and proven facts about the effects of drugs and alcohol.
  • The pitfalls of mixing drugs and alcohol with prescribed medication.
  • How to make smarter choices and prevent substance-related harm.
  • Where to seek help and support and find further information.
