Dementia course during June

Interested community members are invited to attend an event during June aimed at helping those living with dementia and caring for loved ones with the condition.

Planning for your future

A Planning For Your Future session will be held on Friday 14 June to help people who have recently been diagnosed with dementia, and their families and carers.

At the session, attendees will learn:

  • Your rights and how to safeguard them;
  • The imporance of Enduring Powers of Attoney and Advanced Care Plans;
  • How to have empowered conversations with loved ones; and
  • How to feel in control of decisions you are making for your future.

Attendees will also have the chance to recive legal advice and help to complete necessary paper work to create an Enduring Power of Attorney.

The session will be held on from 1.30 - 3.30pm on Friday 14 June at the Castlefield Community Centre, 505 Bluff Rd, Hampton.
