A poem for International Dog Day

A poem for International Dog Day by our volunteer, Leesa.

Leesa has two Labradors, Martini and Wine.

It is National Dog’s Day
Dogs should go out to play
Without any delay.

Owners love to throw a ball
Dogs love to catch a ball
Even if the dog is big or small.

Dogs drink water
Some dogs love to play in water
With their father or mother.

Owner loves their dog
Owner and dog go for jog
Dogs can climb over a log.

Dogs and owners go for a walk
Owner doesn’t have to talk
Just enjoy the walk
