'Making a world of difference'

Connect Health & Community celebrate the 200 plus wonderful volunteers who make a world of difference for us and our clients every day.

These amazing members of our community enable us to provide more services to more people in our community. By offering their time, skills and dedication, our volunteers are making a priceless contribution to the communities in which we operate. 

Volunteer, Tamar, created this amazing artwork to celebrate our volunteers, their differences and the difference they make in our community.

Volunteering Australia says people are inspired to volunteer their time and expertise because they:
  • Make a difference
  • Give something back to the community;
  • Are motivated by a personal belief in a cause or issue
  • Want to meet new people
  • Build their social network and/or strengthen their ties to the community
Volunteer driver team, Brett and Jasper, get ready to head out of their Wednesday run to collect Connect Health & Community physiotherapy clients.

Our own volunteers certainly echo these sentiments.  

Community Transport volunteer driver, Brett, says: "I love other people and volunteering is a great way to connect with people now that I can’t work.​" 
Volunteer driver and mentor, Mark agrees, “Seeing what other volunteers were doing inspired me.  I think we are all here to help each other, volunteering is just another way.”
