Connect Health & Community celebrates the 160 wonderful volunteers who have worked with us over the past 12 months to support our community through the most challenging of times.

Despite an unprecedented pandemic and social lockdowns our volunteers helped keep our community connected to the essential spirit of hope.

And having come through those toughest, darkest hours, we emerge as a community stronger than we were when we went into 2020 – all thanks to their commitment, energy and dedication.

These amazing members of our community enable us to provide more services to more people in our community - many of whom are vulnerable.  By giving their time, skills and dedication, our volunteers are making a priceless contribution to our community.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

Volunteers help make our hydrotherapy classes possible.
Volunteering Australia says people are inspired to volunteer their time and expertise because volunteering enables them to:
  • Make a difference
  • Give something back to the community;
  • Support a personal belief in a cause or issue
  • Meet new people
  • Build their social networks and/or strengthen their ties to the community
Volunteer driver team, Brett and Jasper, get ready to head out of their Wednesday run to collect Connect Health & Community physiotherapy clients.

Our own volunteers certainly echo these sentiments.

Community Transport volunteer driver, Brett, says: "I love other people and volunteering is a great way to connect with people now that I can’t work."

Our Social Support Groups, which make a huge difference in the lives of our clients, are supported by our volunteers. Thank you.
